This policy explains how CrownBoard handles information when you browse courses, submit a listing, claim a provider, or purchase sponsored placement.
1. Information you provide
We collect information you submit, such as your name, business email, provider or company details, website, course details, logo, claim evidence, support messages and account details. Public listing information may appear on CrownBoard after review or verified marketplace entry.
2. Payments and sponsored activity
Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by CrownBoard. We receive payment and order references, amount, currency, status, timestamps and refund details needed to verify purchases, prevent duplicates, maintain sponsored rankings and provide support. Verified sponsored spend and rank may be displayed publicly with a provider.
3. Information collected automatically
When you use CrownBoard, we may receive device and browser information, pages viewed, referring page, approximate network information, dates and times, session identifiers and error or security events. When a learner follows a course link, we record a filtered outbound event so providers can see genuine aggregate “learners sent” totals. We use safeguards to reduce bot and repeated-click inflation. This traffic never affects sponsored rank.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate course discovery, publish and maintain listings, verify provider claims and payments, calculate sponsored rank, prevent fraud, provide support, send service and marketplace notices, measure aggregate performance, improve CrownBoard, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed with service providers that support hosting, data storage, authentication, email, analytics, security and payment processing; with authorities when legally required; or in connection with a business transfer. Public provider and course information is visible to marketplace visitors. We do not sell personal data.
6. Cookies and session storage
CrownBoard uses essential cookies or similar storage to maintain sessions, remember settings such as currency, protect sign-in and keep the service working. Where non-essential analytics require consent, they should be used only as permitted by applicable law.
7. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including payment records, marketplace integrity, dispute handling and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type. We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain use. Some payment, fraud-prevention and legal records may need to be retained. To make a request, use the contact page and describe the account, provider or listing involved.
9. Children and international use
CrownBoard is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to data processing in their location. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, with the safeguards required for the services we use.
